Hints for selling your pub: Be ready for your sale
To speed up a sale dramatically, make sure you have:
Have your delivery notes, supply details, P&L’s, VAT returns, audited accounts, licenses etc all ready, as purchasers will want to check out your business thoroughly before making an offer for the property.
Ensure your solicitors have all documentation to hand. Many sales are delayed due to missing information. Check the location of your deeds – are they held by the bank or brewery? You will need the originals to answer purchasers solicitors questions.
Check your tax position – you will save significant capital gains tax if you sell at the right time in the tax year.
We pay £500 to anybody who finds a licensee who takes a lease from us. So can you recall anybody who might be interested in your pub? |
