Punch is on the ball with good cause
Press Release

Punch Pub Company staff are proving to be on the ball by collecting £370 for charity through two sporting fundraisers.

The company’s Midlands-based head office staff initially raised £300 for Macmillan Cancer Relief with a raffle to win a pair of tickets to the Stella Artois tennis tournament at Queens, which were kindly donated by Interbrew UK.

A further £70 was then raised for the charity from a second raffle held during the World Cup to celebrate England’s progression through to the quarterfinals.

Punch Pub Company commercial director, Francis Patton, said: “Cancer research is a subject close to many people’s heart and we are delighted to be able to support the hugely beneficial work being carried out by Macmillan.”

Macmillan Cancer Relief is a UK charity supporting people with cancer and their families with specialist information, treatment and care. Working closely with the NHS and others to develop and pioneer a network of services for people with cancer, the organisation aims to improve standards of treatment and care for everyone.

Stan Cartlich, who accepted the donation on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Relief, said: “We very much rely on donations such as this and are very grateful to all of the staff at Punch Pub Company for their kind generosity.”
