Punch unveils new retailer charter
Press Release

Punch Taverns has underlined its commitment to providing unparalleled levels of retailer support by launching a revised Retailer Charter.

The Charter is an evolved and updated version of the existing one that was initially launched around 12 months ago to set out Punch’s commitment to retailers in key areas.

It has been updated following feedback from retailers at forums held across the UK and includes several new pages to reflect recent Punch initiatives.

Adrian Fawcett, Punch Taverns’ chief operating officer, said: “Our philosophy is to work with our retailers to help them in every way possible to run successful pub businesses.

“Fundamental to that is a relationship where there is a professional business partnership based on trust, mutual respect, accountability and an open and honest approach.

“We have taken on board feedback from forums and incorporated that into a new Charter. It is jargon free, easy to understand, and covers effectively everything retailers need to know and what they can expect from us.”

New information in the Charter includes an in depth page on the role of Punch’s business relationship managers, the machines management team and operating accounts. It also details agreement options, service standards and important contacts.

Adrian added: “The Charter is a useful and easy to understand business tool that breeds confidence - everyone knows their areas of responsibility - and at the same time it highlights our commitment to supporting retailers in the day to day running of their businesses.”
